The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) at the University of Waterloo offers valuable resources that are incredibly beneficial for students in my classroom. Their courseware is aligned with the Ontario curriculum, making it an excellent supplement to the notes and materials we use in class. I encourage my students to explore these resources to reinforce their understanding of key concepts, practice problem-solving, and prepare for assessments.
Additionally, the CEMC’s contests provide a great opportunity for students to challenge themselves and apply their learning in a competitive setting. These contests, designed for various grade levels, help students develop critical thinking skills and offer a chance to engage with math in a fun and stimulating way.
Furthermore, the CEMC offers "Problems of the Week," which I use as extra challenges for students who are eager to push their problem-solving abilities further. These problems are an excellent way for students to deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts and to practice applying their knowledge to more complex scenarios.
